ML Residency & Relocation is a firm of services, advice and executive assistance concerning Legal Residence, Tax Residence and the procedures that imply the settlement of foreigners in Uruguay. SERVICES

Our firm is managed by a bilingual Executive Assistant, with international experience and extensive practice in executive services, including Residences, support in migratory procedures and Relocation to Uruguay.

We provide a continuous service to our clients who wish to move temporarily or permanently to Uruguay, whether they are individuals, investors or corporations that transfer their employees and executive personnel.

RESIDENCY

Uruguay has an established policy to welcome foreign citizens who wish to come and settle in the national territory, whether as retirees, investors or to work in local multinational companies. No immigration quotas, no discretionary rejections of applications by immigration authorities. Neither is the interested party required to make investments in the country.

An important detail about Legal Residence in Uruguay, after having achieved it, is that people can lose their status as «legal resident» if they are absent for more than three years, away from the country, without having returned to Uruguay at least once within that time period.

Law 19,254 of August 28, 2014, grants legal residence to nationals of Mercosur countries and associates, including all of South America, except Trinidad and Tobago; as well as the relatives of Uruguayans born abroad.

Assistance in complying with all legal requirements, as well as in the vaccination approval process in Uruguayan format.

Schedule the appointment with the National Migration Office (NMO) and / or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), accompanying that day to begin the corresponding process.

Assistance and escort service in obtaining Reentry Permits, Minors Permit and / or Immigration Certificate before the National Migration Office.

Assistance with the registration of the Birth / Marriage Certificate at the Civil Registry Office.

Schedule the appointment and escort service to the National Civil Identification Office (DNIC) to obtain the provisional Identity Card – Cédula de Identidad (if requested) and, once the process is completed, the permanent Identity Card.


The process of applying and obtaining Residence in Uruguay is governed by Uruguayan laws, which is why having the assistance and support of a legal firm is relevant.

We will be in charge of coordinating interviews, follow-up of files, and escort to clients in the instances in which it is necessary to appear in person, while the process takes up.

Founding member, in charge of the management of ML Residency & Relocation and General Director of the firm.
Magdalena has a wide experience of more than 25 years in the corporate area as a Bilingual Executive Assistant, having vast experience and specialized knowledge in Residences, Relocation and immigration processes to provide a good organization and the best service to foreign clients who wish to settle in Uruguay.
Also provides, in a comprehensive and personalized way, bilingual advice and assistance, as a translator and interpreter, organizing, coordinating and executing the different necessary tasks that imply efficiency and success in the management processes for the Legal Residence, Tax Residence and Relocation.
She has the support of a multidisciplinary consultation team made up of professionals who broadly cover all the necessary areas to provide the best advice and assistance to the client in the processes that involve the National Directorate of Migration (DNM), the Ministry of Relations Foreign Affairs (MRREE), General Tax Directorate (DGI), among other government agents and international organizations.
With great dedication and effort, she has successfully advised and assisted clients from Latin America, United States and Europe, and is available to assist new clients from any part of the world who wish to settle in Uruguay.
